3rd Annual Volunteer Days
Earn free admission and join the 'family' as we get State Bridge ready for another trip around the sun. From cleaning out storage to painting colorful signs, there's plenty to do for all ages. Every 6 hours will earn you a day's admission to a show of your choice this season. Bring comfortable clothes, good shoes, and work gloves if you've got them. We'll have beverages, food, and music to get us through the day. Make sure you SIGN IN and OUT by the office so we can get you dialed in for your free admission, and notices of further Volunteer opportunities. State Bridge is always looking for folks who are interested in volunteering throughout the season. Volunteers are needed before, during, and after events. From helping fellow festivarians arrive safely, to keeping the environment clean, everyone can lend a hand and support a healthy atmosphere.
Volunteer Job Descriptions:
Leaders: Repeat Volunteers who gain experience, trust, and the ability to lead other volunteers in certain areas.
Regulars jump on board for a show or two. Some are here for just one weekend and then truck on down the road. We are grateful for their support and energy.
Parking: We are in need of dependable people Friday through Sunday to help:- Direct traffic and parking, and provide info to arrivals
- Check for illegal or problem parking (such as blocking) on Trough Road and in lots
- Issue parking/camping stickers and brochures
- Keep driveway clear and help organize shuttle lines
- Help keep the environment clean
- Keep driveway clear of pedestrians - for safety!
- Maintain shuttle queue
- Direct smokers to smoking area
- Alert staff underage drinking, outside alcohol, and smoking inside venue
- General clean-up in the morning
- Provide information for campers of all shapes and sizes
- Maintain shuttle queue
- Keep people off Trough Road
- Help set up campground
- Keep the grounds trash-free
- Encourage campers to recycle and to “Leave No Trace”
- Make signs with show information
- Supervise a kids’ tent - if you love the little ones and have teaching/arts & crafts experience
- Be a ‘runner’ for managers on duty
- Handle any tasks that arise
